FABORG - WEGANOOL
Overview:
”WEGANOOL is a cruelty-free, plant-based wool alternative that is created without a drop of chemicals. WEGANOOL is a FABORG's testimony of how fabric manufacturing can bring a positive impact to the world”.
Ingredient information:
The yarn to create WEGANOOL is spun from carefully extracted calotropis stem and pod fibers that are blended with 70% of organic rain-fed cotton.
Sustainability credentials:
The production of one kilogram of WEGANOOL saves 27000 litres of clean drinking water, compared to regular 100% cotton yarn. It uses natural dyes, is 100% biodegradable and uses no pesticides in growing crops.
Application and use:
”The hollowness in the soft calotropis fibre creates air pockets within the cloth, making it lightweight and adding thermal-regulating properties. The woven fabrics can be used to make shirts, scarves, dresses, inner linings, and many more”.
