ECOPEL - CANNABA

Overview: 
Ecopel the leader in faux fur is using its french mill Peltex located in Les Vosges to create a new unique type of wool. It’s part of Ecopel and Peltex’s vision to create materials that will become exciting new additions to the repertoire of fabrics used by the fashion industry.

Ingredient information:
Cannaba is made from a blend of hemp and recycled fibres.

Sustainability credentials:
Hemp is naturally sustainable, as it does not require large quantity of water nor pesticide. It requires fewer inputs and has a lower impact in cultivation compared to other fibres. 

Recycled polyester also represents a drop of 32% in energy use and 59% in CO2 emissions compared to virgin polyester.

Application and use:
Ecopel’s Cannaba is a durable, high quality and soft material which can be used across fashion, footwear and accessories.
