It is made from Kapok flowers which grows naturally in tropical forests without any chemicals or pesticides.
Sustainability credentials:
The Kapok tree, found in Indonesia, grows without the intervention of humans, requiring no pesticides, fertilisers or insecticides, eliminating hazardous runoff and leaching into waterways and soils. The modal fibre in the fabric comes from sustainable managed woods, certified by FSC and PEFC.
Application and use:
Classified as a moisture management fabric, with the same values as conventional polyester and cellulosic blends, this fabric's isolating properties are due to the hollowness of the fibre, which is comparable to that of wool.
