ECOSIMPLE
Overview:
”Through local partnerships, Ecosimple collects post-industrial cotton scraps, PET bottles and sends them over to small cooperatives to start the fibre processing. Once collected, these scraps are separated by color and sent to the factory to be spun into recycled yarns”.
Ingredient information:
The manufacturing plant uses recycled and sustainable materials, such as cotton sourced from repurposed fibres from post-industrial waste, organic and BCI, jute, linen, silk, EcoVero viscose, recycled polyester fibres from PET bottles, recycled polypropylene and biodegradable polyamide.
Sustainability credentials:
EcoSimple has created an exemplary production model that is less dependent on virgin materials, avoids excessive water and chemical use, and reduces CO2 emissions and energy usage.
Application and use:
EcoSimple's production model minimises environmental impact, while also helping to improve the livelihoods of local community members. They aim to fuel conscious consumption and stimulate circular economy.
